Déroulement du jeu

2, 4 joueurs: 4 manches de 4 tours
3 joueurs: 3 manches de 5 tours
5 joueurs: 5 manches de 3 tours

déroulement d'une manche :
1- Ravitaillement.
2- Les joueurs jouent dans le sens horaire jusqu'à ce que tous les tours soient effectués: à chaque tour le joueur a 3 actions à dépenser.
3- Le joueur à gauche du premier joueur actif devient premier joueur.

Actions possibles

Consolider sa fortune (3 actions) : +1 roupie.

Bouger d'une case (1 action sauf collines: 2 actions)

Acheter un ballot à un comptoir ouvert (1 fois par tour seulement) (coût indiqué au dessus du marché) - deux ballots maximum par éléphant

Vendre un ballot à une ville (1 action)
Rapporte suivant la position de ballot demandé par la ville:
supérieur: 4 roupies.
milieu: 3 roupies.
bas: 1 roupie et 1 cliente.

Bonus:

ballot jaune: +1 roupie.
ballot violet: +1 cliente. Prend un pion ville si disponible (maximum 1 pion ville de chaque couleur par joueur)

Construire un palais sur une case sans comptoir, ville ou palais (1 action et 1 ballot)
Bonus en cas de pion sur la case :
cliente: +1 cliente
roupies: +2 roupies
ville jaune / blanche: +1 ville jaune / blanches.
ballot: +1 ballot au choix sur le marché le plus à gauche.

Calcul du bonus d'empire commercial:

Chaque joueur fait la somme de ses palais construits et de ses clientes. Le joueur avec la somme la plus important prend le premier prix, etc...

3 joueurs: 1er: 6 roupies, 2ième: 2 roupies, 3ème: 0.
4 joueurs: 1er: 8 roupies, 2ième: 4 roupies, 3ème: 2 roupies, 4ème: 0.
